Since we only walked about 1 1/2 miles in all, we decided to try to figure out where to take another walk so we could get some decent walking in today. That’s good because I’ve also read when you head back towards the car, that it’s steeper going back than it was walking in. I read that it’s supposed to be a pretty easy trail. That trailhead starts at the end of Devil’s Backbone. When we come back (when the trail is completely dry), our plan is to walk to the end of this trail, and complete the Fall Creek Loop trail. So, we turned back around and just decided to take the steep trail back to the car. We walked hole 5, arrived at hole 6, and then it started taking us in the wrong direction. But, we couldn’t figure out how to get back to the 17th tee from this section of the course. But, when we arrived at the 5th tee, we thought maybe we could cut through the golf course. You go down over the bank and you are at the 17th tee of the Warriors Path Golf Course. There is a pretty good sized paved parking area beside of the road. The parking for this trail is on Falls Creek Rd, across the lake from the actual park. We’ll go back one of these days when it hasn’t rained for a week or more. So, probably after 1/2 a mile or so, we turned around and headed back towards the car. A good slip on the damp ground and we’d be on our back end. But, once we arrived at an even more complicated part of the trail, we got to thinking about how challenging it could end up being walking back down the trail. We’re in good shape, so the steepness isn’t what caused us not to finish out the entire trail. ![]() This is a pretty steep (strenuous) trail. But, according to the sign at the trailhead, it’s only 1.1 miles each way. This is the only trail that we hadn’t hiked at Warrior’s Path. I’ve read on the internet that it’s about 2 1/2 miles round trip. ![]()
